Are You A Racist?
By Guest Columnist Nancy Churchill
According to Critical Race Theory, if you are white, you ARE a racist. You can’t help yourself. You’re like the fish who doesn’t know water; you’re swimming in the environment of privilege created by white racism and you don’t even recognize it. You poor, ignorant racist slob. You need to sit down, shut up, and listen to the “lived experience of marginalized brown and black people.”
You probably need to move to the back of the bus, and drink out of a separate water fountain, while you’re at it. You are so racist, you’re going to deny your racism, but you need to know that’s just a symptom of your irredeemable whiteness. As the song from The Wiz goes, “You can’t win, you can’t break even, and you can’t get out of the game.”
Critical Racism Theory steals from the classic Marxist theory of class warfare, but with a twist. Instead of class warfare, which doesn’t really work in a society based on freedom of opportunity and entrepreneurship, CRT divides people by pitting the races against each other. On one hand, we have an oppressor class of people with white skin, people so racist they can’t be redeemed. On the other hand, we have a victim class of brown and black people. However, some of them - brown, black and Asian people who work hard, get a good education and create opportunities for themselves - have been corrupted. These people have joined the white oppressors, and are now considered part of the problem.
Obviously, this is all nonsense, but brilliantly evil nonsense. I can imagine a group of Marxists sitting around a table complaining about the problem of successfully using class warfare in a society where everyone is free to create a great life through hard work and effort. How can we create a permanent divide, a permanent victim class when the land of equal opportunity? Think, think, think… I know… skin color! Let’s divide people by RACE. Skin color doesn’t change!
These people created the most illogical, most racist, most destructive ideology known to mankind since Marxism was first invented. The goal is still the accumulation of wealth and power. This “theory” will transfer wealth from the oppressor class for the purpose of improving the lives of the victim class. But, as we’ve seen with other Marxist communist political schemes, that wealth never really gets to the victim class. Instead it enriches the ruling class, who knows best how the wealth should be spent. After all, if you actually improve the lives of the victim class, they might stop being victims, and then where would all the political power go?
Political change is downstream from culture, so this ideological battle you can see in our entertainment, news and educational systems is critical. You cannot afford to ignore this nonsense, or before you know it you’ll be marched off to a re-education camp while your property is confiscated to make reparations for your whiteness. Kind of like we did to our Japanese Americans in World War II, but for white people.
How does CRT affect you and your family? The battle is happening locally at your school district. The Washington State School Superintendent has recently announced he’ll be bringing this racist culture war to a school near you. According to an article on Washington Policy Center, he says the top priority for spending federal COVID money will be Critical Race Theory-type programs, not student learning.
If you want to make sure your children are not taught to be hate people of a different skin color, you have two choices. You can pull your students out of public education, or you can get involved in your school system. Please get involved. Go to your school board meeting every month. Get to know your board members. Schedule a meeting with your superintendent. Ask lots of questions. Volunteer. Speak up at your school board meetings. Ask to be on the curriculum committee. By getting involved and staying involved, you can help to fight back against Critical Racist Theory.
