Freedom and Tyranny
By Guest Columnist Nancy Churchill
In September, when President Joe Biden announced sweeping vaccine mandates, he said, “This is not about freedom or personal choice. It’s about protecting yourself and those around you … My job as president is to protect all Americans.” This idea has often been repeated by the media: “It’s not about freedom, it’s about protecting others.” We’re urged to make a sacrifice for the good of others, which most of us are willing to do. However, mandating an action is different from encouraging. The belief that “experts” can mandate any action is an attitude that is wrong-headed and dangerous. It’s also anti-American and anti-human. The Constitution of the United States of America begins thus: “We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, ensure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.” (https://bit.ly/3vYeCV6, emphasis added)
Securing the “Blessings of Liberty” was the whole point of the Constitution. What benefits do we get when we secure the Blessings of Liberty? We establish justice: something that is obviously lacking in Washington state’s current dictatorship of “emergency power” by Governor “Kingslee”. We ensure domestic tranquility: the opposite of destructive riots and “autonomous zones”. We provide for the common defense: this is missing in the current administration's refusal to protect our borders and in efforts to defund the police. We promote the general welfare: something that is missing in these days of rampant homelessness, illegal immigration, and runaway inflation.
The health crisis has been used to completely undermine the constitution and the rule of law. The mask and vaccine mandates are tools to create power and control. The relentless panic-inducing propaganda over the COVID-19 virus, which is 98% survivable for most age groups, is designed for one thing, and one thing only. The goal is to destroy the “Blessings of Liberty”, the rule of law, and the economy. A frightened, dependent population is a controllable population.
F.A. Hayek, in Law, Legislation and Liberty, vol. 3, pointed out that “'Emergencies' have always been the pretext on which the safeguards of individual liberty have been eroded – and once they are suspended it is not difficult for anyone who has assumed such emergency powers to see to it that the emergency persists.” (https://bit.ly/31j3Qh5) Governor Inslee’s refusal to release his emergency powers is predictable, because tyranny is predictable. This is a war of tyranny vs. liberty. It’s ALL about freedom. On one side of this great world-wide battle, we have the idea of “Eugenics”. Eugenics is the belief that there is a hierarchy of humanity based on survive-ability – the elite, the human, the subhuman. A small group of elite leaders, the “experts” or the “wealthy”, will be in total control of the rest of humanity. Hitler and Stalin both believed in this toxic ideology, and they directly caused the deaths of hundreds of millions of “useless eaters”. This time around, the focus is not on one particular race or group, but on reducing the population of all of humanity. The individuals below the elite are expendable and interchangeable.
On the other side, we have the idea of “God Consciousness” – the idea that all people are made in the image of God, and that each life has sanctity. If each life is sacred, then each person has human rights – divinely given human rights, inalienable rights. If each person has human rights, then it’s not for the political or economic leaders to decide how many people should live on the planet or how long a person should live… that’s in God’s hands. Each person has complete freedom to make choices about the best way to live his or her life. Each person is precious, unique and valuable. Each life has meaning. Each person has the right to “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”
In this Great War, World War III, we each have the opportunity to make this choice. Will we accept the mandates of a death cult that openly seeks to reduce world population by 10-15% (https://bit.ly/3jOei6H)? Ten percent of a world population of seven billion is 700 million people! Or, do we accept the innate sanctity of each person and choose to non-violently fight for human rights and the freedom to choose? The eugenicists are appealing to the natural desire to do what is right, and to make choices that will help loved ones. The freedom fighters honor individual choices, even if they are unhealthy and self-destructive. No matter what you think about the advice we are getting from experts and the political elite, I hope you will choose life, and freedom. We can support each other as we walk away from medical tyranny in the workplace, the education system, and in our health care system. Federal and state health care mandates are wrong. Choose freedom.
