Proven Leader to Run for the Aberdeen City Council

Updated: May 19, 2021

I am an Aberdeen native, born and raised; much of that spent in beautiful South Aberdeen. My late step-father attended Stevens Elementary, as did my children and I.

South Aberdeen will forever hold a special place in my heart and I will fight tirelessly every single day to ensure a clean, safe, and prosperous community for all of it's families.

I currently serve as the Communications Director for the citizen activist group Save Our Aberdeen Please, as well as serving as Secretary for the Grays Harbor Republican Party and PCO for Aberdeen 111. I have also been involved with my local neighborhood watch and have spent countless hours on the streets, parks, and trails of this city cleaning up the trash and dirty needles in an effort to raise awareness and inspire in others a sense of pride in our city, so that they too, will act. I have spent the past two years attending every city and county meeting that I can in an effort to be as well informed on the issues that matter most to the residents of Aberdeen. I, like many of you, am frustrated by the condition that we find our beloved city in and I want to do my small part to help be a part of the solution. I vow to be a passionate, unyielding voice and advocate for Ward 1 and to be responsive, accessible, and involved. Navigating the issues of drug addiction, mental health, and homelessness in ways that are productive and make sense are focal points for me, as well as assisting our dedicated local law enforcement in having the support and tools that they need to help keep our community safe. Sound fiscal policy and a clean and inviting, business-friendly environment will also be top priority so that we can get our economy back on it's feet; providing Aberdeen with the ability to flourish and grow into the future.

Aberdeen is a unique and resilient community full of amazing people, boundless natural beauty, and limitless potential. I truly care and am passionate about helping Aberdeen succeed, and I am humbly asking that you allow me to earn your confidence, trust and vote. My name is Kacey Morrison and I want to represent YOU, the citizens of Aberdeen.

Let's clean up Aberdeen!
